He was diagnosed with acute hypokalemic periodic paralysis. Senate Budget Subcommittee Votes To Double Medi-Cal Reimbursement!This language states that Medi-Cal managed care plans must pay emergency and on-call physicians no less than the Medi-Cal fee-for-service rate. As an additional protection, CAL/ACEP is also seeking budget language to ensure that Medi-Cal managed care plans pay claims fairly and on-time. This objective will be more difficult to accomplish this year, but we are pushing hard nonetheless.  (more...)
