EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The CAL/ACEP Education Committee is a very active committee, responsible for a great deal of CAL/ACEP activities.  CAL/ACEP co-sponsors and oversees greater than 30 CME courses a year.  In addition, the committee is responsible for the annual CAL/ACEP Scientific Assembly, the Emergency Medicine in Yosemite winter conference, and assists with the CAL/ACEP Legislative Leadership Conference.   The Scientific Assembly and Legislative Leadership Conference are free to CAL/ACEP members.

Furthermore, the Education Committee is responsible for publishing the chapter's monthly newsletter, entitled Lifeline, which is full of CAL/ACEP news, educational issues including the "Clinical Corner", and updates on legislative, regulatory, and issues affecting emergency medicine.

The Education Committee doesn't stop there. They have also produced an ultrasound course designed exclusively for emergency physicians.  They have helped sponsor research, including UCI's Workforce study, poster sessions  at the annual scientific assembly, residency director meetings, and even published practice guidelines.

We encourage you to attend one of our high quality CAL/ACEP and co-sponsored courses.  If you would like to find out more about the committee, its activities, or are a CAL/ACEP physician and would like to become involved, please contact CAL/ACEP.
